Frequently our customers require consultancy with respect to the quality of their mineral deposits, the optimum beneficiation process in order to make best use of the resource, the selection and dimensioning of the most suitable equipment. Due to extremely wide variations of mineral deposits and requirements for final products, most of the tasks given to us have to be backed up by laboratory – and/or – pilot scale test work. We are, therefore, operating our own fully equipped R&D centre right at our facilities in Cologne; assuring proximity to our experts from manufacturing, design and process. In addition our experienced process engineers, who at any time are in direct contact with the respective clients, ensure that the test work is conducted under most realistic conditions.

Moreover, we are in the position to simulate complete separation processes with our own equipment of almost all kinds of crushers and mills, using wet as well as dry classification on screens, in cyclones or in wind sifters, and finally separating the minerals by gravity, magnetic properties or using specific chemical surface attributes for flotation. Most of the laboratory analyses necessary to judge the test work can be done in our own laboratories, securing short execution times between arrivals of specific samples and finishing of the test reports. Some of the pilot scale equipment is even used for test work on-site, giving the advantage of proving the efficiency of our equipment in bypass installations, e.g. the containerized pilot cell PNEUFLOT.

Additionally, we use our R&D centre for training of our clients’ personnel, either in general mineral process training-courses or specifically in operating and maintaining our equipment.
